Horticulture at Youth Matters
After some 18 months of negotiation Youth Matters has with the support
of the Moggerhanger Trust been given access to a large walled garden in which
it is developing a Horticulture Project.
Funded in partnership with The Mayflower (a Learning Difficulties and
Disabilities Partnership) Young people will be able to access the garden and
establish a number of plots that will serve three purposes
- Provide
training and skills development in Horticulture
- Contribute
through the production of vegetable and flowers to the work of the Trust
- Provide
produce that the young person can take home with them
This is a new development and more news will be available as we progress
with our first group of young people taking up the challenge to become
horticulturists.
